Barefoot Acupuncturists - Mumbai, India. 7/2009 - 8/2009
Managed the Barefoot Acupuncturists "Slum" Clinic for 1 month as the only acupuncturist present at the clinic. Performed all the treatments, patient intakes and duties of the head acupuncturist with 2 support staff members and 4 treatment tables. The clinic treated over 20 patients a day serving a poor "slum" area in central Mumbai (Bombay). Common patient conditions included diabetes, post-stroke paralysis, orthopedic imbalances, arthritis and gynecology issues. Taught scheduled classes to the clinic staff on various topics including acupuncture and TCM theory.

Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine - Kunming, Yunnan, China. 3/2009 - 4/2009
Studied modern clinical TCM (Herbs and Acupuncture) at an intensive "Clinical Practicum" in Kunming, China. Located at Yunnan's most famous traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (with a university staff of 1225 faculty members), the program provided an extensive study of TCM practice in modern China. The training was focused mainly on TCM Herbology in a operating clinical setting with English translation provided. Herbology departments of high interest were: Dermatology, Nephrology, Cardiac/Lung, Gynecology, General Medicine, and Oncology.

Chinese Cultural Studies - China (various locations). 5/2009 - 6/2009
After the completion of a Clinical Study Program in Kunming, additional study in China was undertaken for the next 2 months at various locations in China. Study topics included Chinese Language, Tai Ji Chuan (Yang Shuo and Beijing), Chinese Calligraphy (Beijing) and further studies in Chinese Herbology (Beijing).
NADA Vietnam Cambodia Project - Vietnam & Cambodia. 2/2009 - 3/2009
Traveled through Vietnam and Cambodia with a group of American volunteers teaching the NADA ear protocol to local massage therapist and doctors. This project supports various groups and clinics in Southeast Asia who are treating patients with problems such as drug addiction and mental problems.

Benchen Monastery Free Clinic - Kathmandu, Nepal. 8/2008-10/2008
Managed the Benchen Monastery Free Acupuncture Clinic for 2 months, seeing about 20 patients a day as the only Acupuncturist present for most of the duration. During this time, trainings in energetic acupuncture treatment principles were also given by Master Matthias Hunecke, a German Acupuncturist with a high degree of expertise in acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Dispensed acupuncture treatments and herbal therapies with a local Tibetan Medicine Doctor in Northern India. At the clinic, Tibetan Medicine and TCM Therapies were combined to provide the best possible treatments for patients.

Acupuncture Institute and Free Community Clinic of Ananda Nagar (AIAN) - West Bengal, India. 3/2008-4/2008
Performed acupuncture treatments and diagnosis at a free-clinic in an extremely poor rural area of India for 6 weeks. Worked in an extremely challenging environment where the patient demand was high (up to 90 patients a day) and medical supplies were very limited. The clinic (run by an organization called AIAN) provides treatment for the local residents who are greatly in need of health care in rural India.
